A reminder for all who visit my blog.  Please do NOT upload my images to any other sharing place. Last night I found so many sites where my images have been posted.  If it continues I will most likely close my blog.   The images I post here are for your own personal use.

A pretty desktop for your computer today.  Nice and bright and colourful ... with lots of room for all your icons.  Click on the image and save it from there.
And below ... A rose that I painted and a bow I made ...
Haven't done any of those for a while.

End of summer already....back home in Australia they are getting ready to see their lovely gardens blooming and the heat for Christmas.  I don't miss the hot days at all but instead i am patiently waiting to see the gorgeous snow fill up our yard and this year we have a snow thrower which should help.  Shovelling the snow seems to be the only real exercise I get during the long winter months and I'm certainly not going to be walking on the ice....can't risk another bad fall.  Hurry up will give me an excuse to buy a warm new coat.

Love these .. always elegant in black and white

Black and white images are among my favourites.  And of course if they are vintage they always show the lovely costumes and hats etc.  When I worked at the Museum and Art Gallery in Australia I handled a lot of decorative arts which included costumes and jewelry from Victorian times especially.  I put on my white gloves before I touched anything and had the most enjoyable times ... not like being at work at all.   I think the image below is particularly beautiful with the lace curtains, collar and cloth on the window sill.  And she's a pretty lady as well.

Enjoying the tennis

Sitting up in bed watching the US Open tennis with my Miss Peanut Daisy dog. She's super snuggly....and of course wants to help me devour my cookies. Rain is coming down heavily which is good because the rivers and streams are very low which will make it tough for the beautiful salmon to come home to where they were born. They are so incredibly clever .... much like the geese.   Nothing nicer than hearing rain when you are tucked up in bed.
